Entrepreneurship Summer Camp for the earthquake-affected adolescents and youth in Khoy City

ITC, in partnership with UNESCO, organized a five-day entrepreneurship summer camp in Khoy city- west Azarbaijan province. This camp conducted for 200 adolescents and youths aged 12-15 and 16-19 years old, affected by earthquake. This camp was consisted of different activities and training that covered life skills (self-awareness, interpersonal skills and thinking skills) and entrepreneurship skills for social innovation. This training not only provided affected adolescents with the necessary skills to cope with post-disaster trauma situation, but also it equipped them with the necessary skills in social innovation for their future.They learned skills that they can find effective solutions for future problems that they may face in future.

There were some visits from local companies and enterprises and some discussion with the successful entrepreneurs of the city.

In order to ensure the sustainability of the project in the region, on the job training were provided for 10 local trainers. Therefore, they were equipped with the necessary skills to continue the training for the other groups in the region.
